1. Renter must be at least 21 years of age. NO SMOKING in city buildings.
2. Rental of facilities, including buildings and covered areas, does not constitute use of the exterior park area, only the buildings or covered areas. The V. R. Lee Community building does include the outdoor patio area. City parks are public. The city can not reserve grass areas and/or playgrounds for private use.
3. A FACILITY USE APPLICATION AND A $10.00 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT is due within 10 days after reserving the V.R. Lee Building, Hess Kitchen, Stan Hedwall and Lintott /Alexander Park covered kitchens. Applications are available at the Park office and may be picked up Monday - Friday between 8:00am - 5:00pm. IF THE APPLICATION AND NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT ARE NOT RECEIVED WITHIN THE REQUIRED TIME FRAME, RESERVATIONS WILL BE CANCELED WITHOUT NOTICE.
4. THE PAYMENT is due 30 days before usage. IF THE BALANCE IS NOT PAID WITHIN THE REQUIRED TIME FRAME THE RESERVATION WILL BE CANCELED WITHOUT NOTICE.
5. Possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages in City facilities is prohibited unless insurance is obtained through Washignton Cities Insurance Authority (WCIA), Tenant User Liability Program (TULIP) @www.ebi-ins.com/tulip. A $10.00 banquet permit is also required when alcohol is present in city facilities. Permits may be obtained at any Washington State liquor store. No alcohol allowed outside city buildings or Covered kitchen areas.
6. CANCELLATION with less than one-month notice will forfeit any money paid.
7. Building keys must be picked up during regular office hours Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, excepting holidays.  YOU WILL BE BILLED A $50.00 SURCHARGE IF YOU DO NOT PICK UP THE BUILDING KEY DURING REGULAR OFFICE HOURS AND A CITY EMPLOYEE MUST COME IN AFTER HOURS TO PROVIDE YOU WITH ONE .
8. You may use the building ONLY DURING THE SPECIFIED RENTAL TIME. ALL SETUP AND CLEANUP MUST BE DONE WITHIN THE HOURS RENTED.  If you wish to set up prior to your activity, you must pay for the additional time period.
9. The renter will be notified and billed for all damages that occur during their use of the building.
10. Upon entry, if you find any facility or equipment problems, immediately notify the city's Park and Facilities Division at local #508-6264 and enter a phone number for an employee to call you back.
11. Please leave the building in the following condition: *Floors swept *Tables/chairs cleaned and returned to storage room *Kitchen cleaned *No garbage in fireplace
12. You will be charged an additional cleanup fee if the building is not left in an acceptable condition.
13. For enclosed buildings, turn thermostats to 60 degrees, turn out all lights, and lock all windows and doors before leaving. Leave key in drop box by front door.
14. Decorations are allowed but may only be secured with masking/scotch tape. PLEASE DO NOT USE THUMBTACKS, PUSHPINS, NAILS, STAPLE GUNS, ETC. Remove decorations before leaving building.
15. No extra tables or chairs will be provided
16. The city of Chehalis is not responsible for lost or damaged articles.
17. signage (i.e. campaign, advertising) must be within 10 feet of the building or structure and not within any city right-of-way.
